(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Kenneth (Kenny) Shallenburger, age 55, of Joplin, Missouri passed away February 1, 2023 surrounded by friends and family.
He was born March 30, 1967, in Joplin, Missouri to George (Cotton) Shallenburger and Susan Marie Ritter.
Kenny graduated from Galena High School. Kenny later worked for MODOT and Diamond Schools as a bus driver for many years. He thought of the children as family and loved them very much.
Kenny never met a stranger and greeted everyone with a smile. He was an avid sports fan following young kids in his hometown of Galena Kansas and Diamond Missouri schools. He loved to hunt and fish. He adored his children and never missed a game or important event. He always had a full house of kids that he considered his own throughout the years.
He married Amanda (Mandy) Shallenburger on May 9, 2003, in Miami, Oklahoma and she survives. Kenny is also survived by one son, Hunter Shallenburger, of Diamond Missouri, a stepson, Tyler Harris, of Springfield Missouri and one daughter, Emilee Shallenburger, of Diamond Missouri. He is also survived by three brothers, as well numerous friends, and extended family.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, George (Cotton) Shallenburger and Susan Marie Ritter, as well as two brothers and a sister.
Celebration of Life at First Baptist Church Joplin, February 18th at 11:00am. Located at 4128 Connecticut Avenue Joplin Missouri 64804. Family and friends are encouraged to bring a memory or story to share.
