(From Ozark Funeral Home)Ronald Joe Cooper, 69, known affectionately as Ronnie or Ron to his friends and family, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Wednesday morning, November 29, 2023, at his residence in Anderson, Missouri.
Born on February 27, 1954, in Noel, Missouri, Ronnie's life was a testament to his resilience and joyful spirit, as he never let the challenges of cerebral palsy deter him from living a full and vibrant life.
Ronnie was a beloved son, brother, and friend. His father, Haden Cooper and his sister, Vicki Jan Cooper, preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted mother, Jane Cooper, with whom he shared a special bond and who resides in the family home. His brother, Roger C. Cooper of Anderson, will carry forward the memories of their shared experiences. Ronnie also leaves behind his dear friends, Billy and Connie Martin of Anderson, who, along with many citizens throughout McDonald County, will dearly miss his warm presence.
Despite the challenges presented by cerebral palsy, Ronnie approached life with determination and enthusiasm. He received his education locally and became well-known in the community for his friendly demeanor and loving nature. Ronnie's work ethic was evident through his dedicated years of service at Crowder Industries in Neosho, Missouri, where he was a valued employee and friend to many.
Ronnie's interests were a reflection of his love for his community and sports. He was an ardent supporter of McDonald County School Sports, taking great joy in cheering on the Mustangs. His passion for sports extended to professional teams as well, with the Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Cardinals holding special places in his heart. Game days were always a highlight for Ronnie.

Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Union Cemetery near Longview with Pastor Bob Holloway officiating. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Billy Martin, Nick Martin, Blake Martin, Cole Martin, Ryder Martin and Rick Peck. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials are being directed to McDonald County Schools Foundation c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
