Almeda Sullivan

Almeda Jeane Sullivan, age 96 of Sequim, WA, formerly of Joplin, MO, passed away peacefully at her home in the morning on Friday, October 14, 2022.

Born October 30, 1925 in Joplin , MO, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude B. and Arthur A. Farris. She graduated from Webb City High School in 1942 and attended Graceland College. Almeda was a member of the Community of Christ Church. She spent most of her working years as a bookkeeper/accountant. 








Almeda married George William (Bill) Sullivan on October 10, 1943 in Joplin MO and enjoyed 68 years of marriage until Bill passed away in 2012.

Almeda is survived by two daughters, Susan (Richard) Olson of Sequim, WA, Janet (Dennis) Plante of Lincoln NE; two sons, Kevin (Chris) Sullivan of Sacramento, CA, William (Jean) Sullivan of Arlington, WA; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Almeda was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, her sister, Emma Lee Kingore, her brother, Robert E. Farris, a half-brother, Amos N. Farris, a half-sister, Betty Smith, and her granddaughter, Annalee Sullivan.








Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29 at Ozark Memorial Park with her son William Sullivan officiating. Pallbearers include: sons Kevin and William Sullivan; sons-in-law Richard Olson and Dennis Plante.

The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28.
