Lonetta Sizemore

Lonetta Kay Sizemore, age 88, passed away at 12:46 pm, Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, MO following an illness.

Lonetta was born March 8, 1934, in Sherman City, KS. Her parents were James and Arlene Ruth (Frazier) Walker. She had lived in Columbus the past year moving from Wichita where she had resided 43 years.








She graduated from West Mineral (KS) High School. She was a member of 1st United Methodist Church, Wichita. Her favorite pastime was playing BINGO. She also used to enjoy knitting and crocheting.

Lonetta was first married to James Seely on June 22, 1952 in Miami, OK. He passed away September 6, 1976. She later married Clayton Sizemore on July 8, 1981 in Wichita. He died November 9, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Rick, one daughter, Melinda, four brothers, one sister, and three grandchildren.








Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Embrey and Janna Epperson, both of Joplin, MO; one step-son, Jack Sizemore, Huntsville, AL; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and her former neighbor and close friend, Glenda.

Lonetta was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Columbus, KS for cremation. No services are planned.
