(From Fohn Funeral Home)Michael Timmy Perusich, age 82, of Joplin, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Mercy Hospital Joplin in Joplin, Missouri.
He was born August 14, 1940 in Independence, Missouri the son of Michael “Mitch” and Merle (Braxdale) Perusich.
On July 21, 1990 in Independence, Missouri he was united in marriage to Sharon Gouldsmith, who survives.
Also surviving are six sons, Michael Perusich and his wife Robin of Sibley, Missouri, Kevin McPherson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Kenneth McPherson and his wife Stacey of Keller, Texas, Jason Towsley and his wife Linda of High Ridge, Missouri; Christopher Towsley and his wife Kimberly of Reno, Nevada and Aaron Towsley of Joplin, Missouri; two daughters, Sheryl Perusich of Peoria, Arizona and Amanda Towsley and her husband Eric Barnett of Edgerton, Kansas; one brother John Perusich and his wife Christine of Joliet, Illinois; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Charles Perusich and Tony Perusich.

Michael grew up and attended school in Independence, Missouri graduating from William Chrisman High School. After graduating he joined the United States Navy serving from July 18, 1958 until August 11, 1961. He was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as a conductor/switchman. Michael enjoyed going to casinos and fishing.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 until 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial with military honors will be at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
