Ethel Irene Lee, 95, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 in Jasper, Missouri, surrounded by family and friends at home. Ethel was born October 16, 1927 to Ed Howell and Lona Presley. She was a lifetime Jasper County resident.
Ethel worked at Fairview Greenhouse for a few years and McCune Brooks Hospital for fifteen years. She was known as Grandma and Mom to many. Ethel could make a meal at a moment’s notice and anyone who came to visit, never left hungry. She helped her daughter, Mary, raise several foster children and cared for some of her own grandchildren. Ethel put her family first in every part of her life.

Ethel was united in marriage to Bobbie E. Lee October 14, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas and recently celebrated their 76th Wedding Anniversary; he survives.
Ethel is survived by her husband, Bobbie Lee; two sons, Ronnie Lee and his wife, Francine, of Carthage, Missouri and Donald Lee of Jasper, Missouri; two daughters, Mary Foster and her husband, Alan, of Emmett, Kansas and Joyce Hamilton and her husband, Murrell, of Jasper, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren, Jeff, Janett, Joseph, Cody, Clint, Abby, Morgan, Jeffery, Alisha, Kelsey, Sam, Darrin, Skyler, Cary, Grace, Ben, Candy, Crystal and Robert; one sister, Virginia Holleyman and her husband, Dexter, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Lulla Hemby of Carthage, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Ethel is preceded by her son, Bobby Lynn Lee in 2008; and her parents, Ed and Lona Howell.
Services will be held 2:00 Friday, October 28, 2022 in the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation with be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery in Jasper, Missouri.
