Carol Ledford

Carol Ann (Henneman) Ledford, 71 of Carl Junction, Missouri formerly of Unionville, MO passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Joplin surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 4, 2022, at the First Baptist Church, 104 N. 15th St., Unionville, MO, 63565. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., at the church. Interment will be in the Dodson Cemetery in rural Unionville, MO.

Carol was born on May 17, 1951, in Winner, South Dakota to Howard Freemont and Laura Myrtle (Wheeler) Henneman. She graduated from Chamberlian High School in Chamberlain; SD. Carol spent most of her working life in road and telephone construction. 

On June 12, 1994, she was united in marriage to James "Jim" Ledford in Green City, MO. They resided in Unionville for many years until moving to Kansas City, KS and most recently Carl Junction, MO to be close to family. 

Carol was Christian by faith. In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoyed crafts, woodworking, painting, but most of all spending time with her family. Carol always started her morning with a hot cup of coffee and watching the birds in her backyard.








Carol is survived by her husband, Jim Ledford of Carl Junction, MO; six children, Shirley Veskrna and companion Mike Standley of Webb City, MO, Wade Christensen and wife Jamie of Gillette, Wyoming, Austin Ledford and wife Christy of Odessa, MO, Kim Schultz and husband Chris of Wathena, Kansas, Jason Wilson of Troy, KS, and Jeff Wilson and companion Bree Thomas Master of Wathena, KS; grandchildren, Derek Isbell and wife Janae of Carl Junction, MO, Christian Isbell of Alba, MO, Casey Sherrouse and husband Josh of Barling, Arkansas, Kaitlynn Standley and Tyler Standley of Neosho, MO; Mackenzie Christensen, Brody Christensen and wife Ashley of Ft. Drum, New York, Asher and Addison Ledford of Odessa, Missouri, Jackie Clause of Troy, KS, Riley Wilson of Wathena, KS, Blake Conroy and husband Brycen of Troy, KS, Blaine Wilson and wife Bailey of Wathena, KS and Bryson Wilson and wife Lindsy of Wathena, KS; great-grandchildren, Jayden Baker, Jessalyn Howard, Jacey Wasson, Jon Wasson, Noah Sherrouse, Nathan Sherrouse, Bayden Klaus, Beau Klaus, Brantley Klaus, Acre Wilson, Meadow Wilson, Harper Wilson, and Hadley Wilson, and two great-great grandchildren, Waylon Howard and Waylon Christensen; two brothers, David Henneman of Gillette, WY and Francis Henneman of Huston, Texas; two brothers-in-laws, Dick Hespe and Victor Hartman and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by two sisters, Connie Hespe and Laura Lee Hartman.
