Vickie Kisner

Vickie Kisner, age 64, of Chanute passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center. Vickie was born on January 17, 1958, in Chanute, the daughter of Calvin Sr. and Bessie (Johnson) Harris.

Vickie married Neil Kisner in Chanute, KS on March 5, 1994. She grew up in Chanute and graduated from Chanute High School. 

Vickie was a very quick-witted woman that always had a smile on her face, especially when she was spending time with her husband, her sons (Adrian Harris of San Diego, CA and Blake Kisner of Carl Junction, MO), and her grandson (Kai Harris of San Diego, CA). 








Vickie lived a life of service to others, as was evident in her many years working at Heritage Nursing home serving in any capacity in which she was needed. She will always be remembered for being a natural caregiver and helping others in need. She will be missed by her many family members and friends. 

She is survived by her husband, Neil Kisner of Chanute, KS; Children: Adrian Harris of San Diego, CA, Blake Kisner of Carl Junction, MO; Siblings: Linda Vann of Chanute, KS, Keith Harris of Chanute, KS, Craig Harris and wife Joi of Chanute, KS; Grandson: Kai Harris of San Diego, CA; Numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.








She is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Sr., and Bessie (Johnson) Harris; infant brother Deon Harris; sister Elaine Finley; and brothers, Calvin Jr., and Kevin Sr. Harris. Cremation has been requested. The family will hold a memorial service at First Baptist Church – Good News Center, 118 N Forest behind the old First Baptist Church on Saturday, October 29th at 10am. 

The family requests that friends and loved ones join them for the repast following the burial services held at Elmwood Cemetery E. 14th Street & S Malcomb Ave Chanute, KS. The repast will be held at Cherry Street West at 719 North Garfield.
