(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Rodger Dale Lane, age 64 of Exeter, MO, passed away at 4:50 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
Rodger was born in California on November 12, 1957 to Samuel Lane and Betty (Cupp) Lane. He had lived in the four state area since his early childhood. He worked as a general mechanic and production line worker, and enjoyed fishing, camping, rodeos, and dirt track racing with his family in his free time.
Rodger was united in marriage with Pamela Lane. She survives.
Additional survivors include three daughters, Stephanie Owens (husband, Hank) of Galena, Tracy Suji (husband, Jared) of Broken Arrow, OK, and Nicole Lane (husband, Zack LaTurner) of Granby, MO; two brothers, Jack Lane of Horseshoe Bend, AR, and Tony Lane of Stella, MO; three sisters, Patricia Friend (husband, Steve) of Goodman, MO, Cindy Foster (husband, Ray) of Noel, MO, and Evelyn Cross (husband, Charlie) of Exeter; eighteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Lane.
Mr. Lane has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena for cremation. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on November 12, 2022 at Stephanie’s Home, 2519 Rickner Road, Galena, KS 66739. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
