(From Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home)Mr. Phillip Raymond Reeder, 93, a longtime resident of Webb City, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin after a brief illness.
Phillip entered this life on August 24, 1929, in St. Joseph, Missouri, born to the union of the late Ralph Raymond and Harriet (Jones) Reeder. He worked at Vickers in Joplin before joining the family business, Reeder Plumbing and Heating, where he remained the entirety of his working career.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gertrude Reeder; a daughter, Leesa Hedgecorth; two granddaughters, Valarie Hedgecorth and Terri Macias; and two sisters, Joy Shepherd and Margaret Selsor.
Phillip is survived by his daughter, Debra Joy Mahurin and husband, Rick, of Webb City; four grandchildren, Vanessa Mahurin, Brenda Dalton, Leslee Mahurin and Glinda Smith; seventeen great grandchildren; fifteen great-great grandchildren; a brother, David Reeder and wife, Patty, of Webb City; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City, Missouri.
