(From Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home)Mrs. Nancy Marie Grissom, 74, a lifelong resident of Webb City, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Carthage, Missouri, after months of declining health.
Nancy entered this life on April 4, 1948, in Webb City, born to the union of Harold and Mary (Reitz) Powell. She was raised in Webb City and was a 1966, graduate of Webb City High School. She furthered her education by attending MSSC in Joplin.
On June 10, 1971, she was united in marriage to Michael “Mike” Grissom and to this union one daughter, Kim, was born.
She retired in 2015, from School Messenger, a trusted platform for school and community engagement. She enjoyed Webb City Football, making all the home and away games for many years. She followed the Kansas City Chiefs and loved spending countless hours with her family. Nancy was a member of the Webb City Church of the Nazarene.

Nancy is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Mike Grissom of the home; a daughter, Kim Evans and husband, Mike, of Webb City; a grandson, Tyler Evans and wife, Laura, of Carterville; two great grandchildren, Monroe and Lucie Evans; her mother, Mary Powell of Webb City; a sister, Mary Ann Crissman of Joplin; two brothers, Richard and Mike Powell both of Webb City; as well as a host of other family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, October 27, 2022, from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Webb City Church of the Nazarene. Private burial will take place at Oronogo Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City, Missouri.
