(From Knell Mortuary)Phyllis Gene Wescott, 71, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Freeman West Hospital Joplin, Missouri.
She was born November 7, 1950, in Corpus Christi, Texas, the daughter of Edward and Doris (Burge) Graham. She attended school in Salina, Kansas then moved to Shawnee, Kansas.
She married Terry Allen Wescott on July 28, 1984, in Shawnee, Kansas.
Phyllis was employed with Joplin School District as a Production Food Service Supervisor. She loved anything to do with the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and bird watching. Her many hobbies included quilting, sewing, gardening, and cooking. Her biggest joy was spending time with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Doris Graham; her husband, Terry Wescott; and her brothers, James Graham, and Edward Graham Jr.

She is survived by son, Brock Wescott of Carthage, Missouri; daughter, Bobbi Johnston and husband John of Nederland, Texas; son, David Bryan wife Brianna of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jeremy Bryan, Megan Duffey, Madeline Bryan, Luke Bryan, Chloe Hill, Thomas Hill, Lillie Johnston. Also surviving are her sister, Daphne Johnson; nieces, Jennifer Hayeslip and wife Drea all of St. Charles, Missouri, and Charity Dalzell husband Kevin of Michigan; nephew, James Graham wife Ashley, Shannon Remington and husband Danny, Heather Shockley and husband Josh; sister-in-law, Diane Rahmeier Graham, all of Oklahoma; and many great nephews and nieces.
