Sharon Clemons

Sharon Ann Clemons, age 79, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, formerly of Neosho, Missouri, passed away at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the Mount Vernon Place Care Center in Mount Vernon. She was born April 17, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Willie “Bill” and Chloe (Anderson) Wilson.

Sharon grew up in the Fairland and Wyandotte communities as a child and spent her adult years in Seneca and Neosho. She was a member of the Hilldale Baptist Church in Neosho and worked for many years as the General Manager for the photo lab at Walmart. Photography was her passion, and she proudly had several of her photos published in the Crowder College paper, The Quill.








She is survived by her three children, Tonya (Brent) Lawson, Duenweg, Missouri, Tracey Derryberry of Neosho, and Tishya (Dan) Brown of Wellington, Kansas; nine grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of dear family and friends.

In addition to her parents, her son Timothy Clemons and granddaughter, Charlene Bond, preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at the Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, with Pastor Phil McClendon officiating. Burial will follow at Wyandotte Indian Cemetery in Wyandotte, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers: Cory Baker, Addison Derryberry, Tim Clemons, Daryan Daul and Ken Brady.
