(From Parker Mortuary)Bruce Douglas Timchuk, age 64, Webb City, passed away at Freeman Hospital on Thursday, October 13th, 2022.
Bruce was born February 28th, 1958 in Vita Manitiba, Canada to the late union of Michael “Mike” and Mary (Dawydiuk) Timchuk. He grew up in Canada and moved to the Webb City area in 2004.
Bruce married his first wife, Linda (Carlson) Timchuk on October 27th, 1978.
Later on, he married his second wife, Joanie Phelan in November of 1998. Bruce and Joanie were married for 35 years before her passing on July 3rd, 2020.
He was an avid race car fan and loved watching as well as driving his corvette. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage with his cars, but most of all working on his race car with his buddies. He enjoyed traveling when he was able to. Bruce had lots of friends and never met a stranger.
He worked as a mechanic at Fletcher Ford for nearly 15 years before his passing and left a huge impact. Fletcher was more of a family than a job to Bruce. He leaves behind his loyal companion, Sophia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Troy Timchuk; and one nephew, Jason Timchuk.
Bruce is survived by his daughter, Jessica Houle; grandchildren Tyler and Savanna Houle; brother Lorne (Laurie) Timchuk; sister, Charlotte (Ron) Van Buren; brother, Ray Timchuk; nephews, Lee (Alia) Timchuk, Michael (Chantel) Timchuk; niece, Lacey (Frank) Safonovs; his loyal companion, Sophia; and a host of extended family and friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the special care of Parker Mortuary.
