(From Brown-Winters Funeral Home)Loretta F Tipton, a resident of Fairland passed away in Grove on Saturday, October 15, 2022. She was born on December 3, 1927 in Cardin, Oklahoma to Elmer and Bertha J. (Foust) Reber. Loretta attended Grove High School as part of the Class of 1946.
She married John Tipton on October 24, 1945 in Columbus, Kansas before briefly moving to California.
Upon Loretta and John’s return to Oklahoma they became the parents of their two children whom they adored.
Mrs. Tipton worked as a bookkeeper for Roper Gas Propane Company for 26 years before retiring in 1992. She loved reading, sewing, flowers, working with her family, traveling, and just enjoying her life. Mrs. Tipton was preceded in passing by her parents Elmer and Bertha Reber, her husband John Tipton, her son Rex Tipton, her brother Ernest Edward Reber, and special friend Melvin Dennen.
Survivors include her daughter Glenda Jay Langley and her husband Dewayne of Fairland, a granddaughter Cara Langley with her two sons Jakob and John Butler of Carl Junction, Missouri, and grandson Rex Langley with his wife Heather and their two children Rex W. and Annalee of Jenks.
Graveside Services are 1:30 PM, Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church in Fairland in Mrs. Tipton's name.
