(From Clark Funeral Home)Carol LaJeanne (Linehan) Munea, age 65, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away at 6:46 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. She was born April 21, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Charles Franklin and Roseline Etta (Phegley) Munea.
Carol grew up in California and graduated from high school in Burbank, California. In 1978 she moved to McDonald County and had resided in the McDonald and Newton County communities ever since.
Carol enjoyed working for Randy Collins at Café Angelica as a cook for many years and, more recently, at Dollar Tree with her favorite girls. She was a remarkable cook and baker; however, her most endearing position in life was that of Mema. Carol would do absolutely anything for her grandchildren and truly loved being a fantastic grandmother to her twelve grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by her four children, Tera Linehan, Joseph Linehan, Stacy (Robert) Brown, all of Neosho, and Chelsey (Alex Johnson) Parker of Cotati, California; grandchildren, Jordan, Aden, Caden, and Kaley Linehan, Sarah, Maggie, Emma, Rob and Sean Brown, Keeton Parker, and Finley Johnson; her uncle, Larry (Cleta) Phegley; and beloved former husband and friend, Kevin Linehan.
Her parents, brother, Paul Franklin Munea, granddaughter, Triston Paige Linehan, and former husband, Glen Parker, preceded her in death.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Clark Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2022. The family will have a time of sharing of fond memories at 6:00 p.m.
In honor of her Lakota heritage memorial donations may be made to Lakota Circle Charity at lakotacircle.org.
