(From Ozark Funeral Home)Robert Eugene “Bob” McQuillan, 81, of Anderson Missouri, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at home surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grand kids. Bob was the 5th of 6 children born to Harvey and AnnLee McQuillan, born March 30, 1941 in Noel, Missouri.
Bob joined the Missouri Army National Guard in 1959, as a senior in high school and faithfully served his country for 41 years.
He married his high school sweetheart Bonnie Irene Gorman on June 3, 1961. They wed on her parent’s farm in Anderson, Missouri. Bob and Bonnie were married for 61 years. As a devoted husband and father, they raised their two children, sharing his love for farming and the outdoors. Bob loved serving his country, fishing, and hunting. He always had a story to tell that you couldn’t help but listen to. Bob supported all their grandchildren as they grew. Always cheering them on and teaching them great family values. Bragging about their accomplishments always brought a big smile to his face. He was role model to many. Respected and loved by all that knew him.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Edward McQuillan; his sisters Berthalee Berry, Lorejean Jones, Virgina Taylor, and Sue Ames.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie McQuillan of the home; his daughter, Irma Irene Clup of Seneca, Missouri; his son, Billy Eugene McQuillan of Anderson, Missouri; his grandchildren, Misty Calcote of Anderson, Missouri, Stormy Gillming of Anderson, Missouri, Shawn Stillions of Goodman, Missouri and Tea McQuillan of Anderson, Missouri; a heard of great grandchildren, 9 of them, Melanie, Natalie, Nichole, William, Hayden, Kenzlie, Mallorie, Legacie and Sarah.
Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2022, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Roger Gorman and Bob Holloway officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Peace Valley Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Stormy Gillming, Shawn R. Stillions, David Abbot, Chris Lilly, Jonathan Rosenbohm and Quinton Anderson with Billy Eugene McQuillan serving as an honorary pallbearer. Memorials are being directed to the American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
