(From Parker Mortuary)Fred Leon Jordan, age 65, of Joplin, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
Fred, son of the late Freddy and Verna (Carver) Jordan, was born on March 31, 1957 in Joplin. He was a lifelong resident of Joplin.
At a young age, Fred knew the meaning of hard work and dedication. He worked as a demolition contractor and was the owner and operator of Jordan Disposal and J & L Sewer Service in Joplin for several years and currently with Gator Demolition.
He was united in marriage to Connie Asher on July 3, 1975 in Joplin. Together they enjoyed raising their family, casino trips, lake trips and fishing. Helping everyone else before himself was a huge part of who he was as a person. Fred never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He could sit and tell stories for hours and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Jordan, Joplin; his children, Octavia Jordan, her husband Ryan, Fred “Bud” Jordan, and his wife, Stephanie, and Aaron Jordan, all of Joplin; grandchildren, Ryan Jordan, and his wife, Natalie, Stormie Riggs, and Kyle Higdon, Lynna Jordan, Xandier Schuster, Michael “Mikey” Endicott, Brandon Sewell, Regan Fruzza, Isabella Norsworthy, and Caden Norsworthy, all of Joplin; three great grandchildren, Atticus Jordan, Eevee Jordan, and Ryder Sewell, all of Joplin; siblings, Ruth James, and her husband, Ray, Janie Cupp, Charles Jordan, and his wife, Kim, Brian Jordan, and his wife, Kathy, of Oronogo, and Randon Jordan, and his wife, Valerie, all of Joplin; a sister-in-law, Glenda Jordan, of Joplin; and several nieces and nephews, also many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Russell Jordan and his wife Rhonda Jordan, brother Arthur Jordan and brother-in-law Seth Cupp.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery in Joplin. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, October 6th beginning at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Parker Mortuary in Joplin.
Memorial contributions may be made to your choice of the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Association in memory of Fred and may be entrusted to the mortuary.
