Nell Aleshire

Mrs. Nell Marie (Hatfield) Aleshire, 91, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 in the comfort of her home.

Nell was born on Monday, February 9, 1931 in rural Newton County, Missouri to the union of the late Charles and Minnie (Spangler) Hatfield. She was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School. 

On April 6, 1951 she was united in marriage to Melvin Eugene Aleshire, together they shared sixty-one years until his passing on February 22, 2013. 

She worked for Wild’s Nursery and Juvenile Shoe, retiring from Justin Boot after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed walking, gardening, flowers, her cats and crossword puzzles. She will truly be missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Helen L. Lowe.

Nell is survived by her nephews, Jim Lowe and wife, Mary, of Neosho and Randy Lowe and wife, Dana, also of Neosho; several great- nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Graveside service for Mrs. Aleshire will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the Sarcoxie Cemetery with Pastor Don Sullivan officiating. 

Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Larry Myers, Nathan Stewart, Stan Pennington, Lyle Thurman, Bruce Lambeth and Scott Lambeth. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Lowe and Travis Jones. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
