Bill Ross

William “Bill” Minton Ross, II, 84 of Pineville, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

He was born on August 29, 1938 to the late, William Minton Ross, Sr. and Aleathia (Coombes) Ross in Winfield, Kansas, the youngest of seven children. 










Bill married Gloria Mabry on February 11, 1964 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Together they owned and operated the Elk River Land Company for over 20 years. Following his retirement, he wrote a book, “Good Ole Boys” that was illustrated by his beloved neighbor, Jo Pearcy. Bill was a member of the Anderson Masonic Lodge and the Wichita Scottish Rite Consistory.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Vincent Andrew Ross and William Laurence Ross; daughter, Cynthia Lynette Daniels; grandson, Justin Daniel Ross (Dec. 11, 1987); siblings, Orpha, Arlene, Earl, Mary, Sue Carol and Merle.








He is survived by his wife, Gloria Ross; son, Robert Mabry; grandson, William A. Ross and wife Ashley; daughter-in-law, Melany Ross; granddaughters, Misty German, Lauren Ledbetter, Roxzy Ruele, Casondra Mabry, and Natasha Mabry; as well as a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss Bill.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at the Pineville Cemetery on Pineville, Missouri. Masonic Rites will be conducted at the graveside.
