(From Midland Cremation Society)Lynda L. (McBride) Utter, age 73, passed away Thursday morning, February 2, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Lynda was born July 2, 1949, in Carthage, MO, the second daughter of Herman D. McBride and Edna Louise (Hartman) McBride, who preceded her in death. She grew up in Carthage, MO and was a graduate of Carthage High School. She attended Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, MO, pursuing a degree in the teaching of physical education.
Lynda devoted her life to her family. She married David E. Utter on July 14, 1969. He survives. Additional survivors include her three daughters; Tema C. Gilion of Loma Linda, MO, Leasha J. Doyle and husband Mike, and Treasha J. Lee and husband Gary, all of Carthage, her siblings; Donna L. Brown and husband David of Leavenworth, Kansas, Larry D. McBride of Carthage, MO, and Mary E. Sapp of Independence, MO. She had 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Per her request, there will be a private family celebration of her life on February 18, 2023. Contributions can be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midland Cremation Society.
