Clyde Dale

Clyde M. Dale Jr, was born December 30,1928 in Pell City Alabama, to parents C.M. and Laura Martin Dale. 

During the depression years the family lived in Decatur, Alabama with Mama Martin, his Grandmother. Moving to Tennessee in 1936, his Dad had a drug store in Old Hickory, where Clyde graduated high school in 1946. 

When he was drafted into the Army in 1951 and sent to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, (this is) where he met Diana and soon after, they were married.








To this union were born two boys and three girls. Upon being discharged they moved to Memphis, TN where Clyde attended the College of Pharmacy and graduated in 1956. After working for his dad for four years, he and Diana bought the Corner Drug Store, in Mtn Grove, MO. which they owned and operated for 30 years.

During that time, all seven in the Family, came to know Jesus as Savior. PTL!!

Clyde and Diana moved to Lindale, TX, where they were connected with and went on outreaches with Youth with a Mission following Martin and Kim there. After seven plus years, Clyde and Diana moved back to MO, buying a home in Webb City, MO.

While in Mtn Grove, Clyde was active in the community, serving on the school board for 16 years, Kiwanis Club, Gideons and singing in church choir and numerous weddings and funeral services. In 1976, he was honored to be chosen as “Outstanding Independent Pharmacist of the years for his region in Missouri.

Clyde is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Diana, oldest son Morgan, his sister Lila Foster and her husband, Raymond.

He is survived by son, Martin and wife Kim, Spring TX. Three daughters, Laura of Marionville, MO, Lila Meisenheimer, Webb City, MO husband Dale and Judith Zeid and husband John of Rockaway Beach, MO, as well as a daughter in law, Debbie Dale of Springfield, MO.








Other survivors include 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 10:30 AM at the Joplin Family Worship Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercy Works of YWAM Tyler or Gideons International: Mercyworks.org or Gideons.org.
