Ralph Green

Ralph M. Green, age 91, of Joplin, Missouri passed away Tuesday December 5, 2023.

He was born June 30, 1932 in Joplin, Missouri to John and Peaches (Qualls) Green.

Ralph retired from Eagle-Picher. He served in the United States Navy, was a Scout Master for over 60 years, volunteered at the Boy’s Club and was involved with implementing the soccer program and he was a Golden Glove boxer.

He married Helen Cooley on June 7, 1953 in Joplin, Missouri and she preceded him in death on December 3, 2023.

Ralph is survived by two sons, Ralph Green and wife Tum, of Minnesota, Randall Green and wife Maricella, of California; three daughters, Melva Reeves and husband, Larry, of Kansas, Cynthia Myers, of Arizona, Joann Green Edwards and husband Brent, Joplin, Missouri; 15 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday December 12, 2023 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (2107 S Indiana Ave) Joplin, Missouri with Bishop Cody Sneddon officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 -7:00 pm Monday December 11, 2023 at the mortuary.
