Shawn Kennedy

On Tuesday December 5, 2023 Shawn Scott Kennedy age 40 of Anderson, MO passed away in Neosho, MO with close friends by his side.

Shawn was born on January 12, 1983 in Lakewood, California to Jeffrey Nelson and Beverly Kennedy. Shawn started his most notable and exciting life adventure on April 5, 2003, when he joined Lowes. What may have been just a job to most, became one of Shawn’s passions and purposes.

Two years ago Shawn became a member at the Crossbar Cowboy Church, led by Rex Jordan, where he was deeply loved and never failed to put a smile on the faces of all those around him. Shawn loved interacting with the children of his church and was a part of the church choir. 

Shawn enjoyed camping, rock concerts, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. He loved his family and friends dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father Jeffrey Nelson, his grandmother Marion McClure, and grandfather Harold Nelson.

He is survived by his mother Beverly Kennedy. 3 brothers, Shane Nelson, Dusty Mills, and Jarrod Nelson. 3 sisters, Brandy Emmick and husband Thomas, Ginny Mills, and Melissa Nelson and partner Rodney Harrell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly and will miss him greatly.

Memorial services will be held at Tri City Community Church in Pineville, MO (2132 Jesse James Rd. Pineville, MO 64856) on December 14 2023 at 5:00pm.

There will be a pot luck after memorial.
