(From Ozark Funeral Home)Mrs. Connie L. Martin, 76 of Anderson, Missouri departed this life on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Freeman Neosho Hospital.
Connie was born November 26, 1945 in Wheaton, Missouri to the late Homer and Melissa (Beaver) Harrell. Connie grew up in the Anderson area and graduated from Anderson High School in 1963.
She worked for Sunbeam in Neosho and then at Medicalodge. She enjoyed working on her dairy farm and spending time with her family.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Bob Mahurin, her second husband Leon Martin, and two stepdaughters: Sandy Martin and Stephanie Martin Stone.
Connie is survived by her daughter; Marilyn Hembree (Jerry) of Seneca, a son; Hershell Mahurin of Anderson, three stepdaughters; Sheri Litom (Jeremy) of Mabelvale, AR, Courtney Summerville (Todd) of North Little Rock, AR and Leauna Davidson (Steve) of West Siloam Springs, AR, her grandchildren; Ryan Fry (Brittani) of Neosho, MO, Joseph Hembree (Melissa) Seneca, MO, Alisha Besaw (Jason) of Goodman, MO, Samantha Mahurin of Neosho, MO, Robert Mahurin (Karla), Amber Twomey (Andrew) of Cabot, AR, Madison Carter of North little Rock, AR, Cody Carter of North Little Rock, AR, Casey and Ashely Davidson of West Siloam Springs, AR, Mathew and Dalton Reed of Joplin, MO, Felicia Miller (Mikel) of Fort Drum, NY, Brittani Howard of Cabot, AR and Shawn Martin of Cabot, AR, a brother; Jerry Harrell of Anderson, and 14 great grandchildren as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Connie L. Martin will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ozark Funeral Home Chapel in Anderson, MO with Pastor Mark Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery near Stella, MO.
Those honoring Connie’s life by serving as Pallbearers are, Ryan Fry, Joseph Hembree, Robert Mahurin, Rick Strong, Jerry Hembree, and Hershell Mahurin.
The family will receive friend from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the funeral home. The Martin family would also like to invite all those who attend burial services to a dinner held at the First Christian Church of Anderson, Missouri, located at 311 Jefferson Street. They hope you will attend.
