Dale Marion was born in Stella, Missouri, on July 16, 1942, the son of Chalmer and Margaret (Long) Marion. He entered into rest on October 3, 2022, in Neosho, Missouri, at the age of 80.

Dale graduated from Stella High School and was a lifelong area resident. He owned and operated Dale Marion Construction and M&M Construction. In 1980, he joined Branco Enterprises as a project manager and later becoming a shareholder and retired in 2004.

Following his retirement from Branco, he worked as an electrician for Construction Services Group until age 70. Dale coached his sons in all sports programs, beginning in 1972 until 1990. He helped to restore the American Legion Baseball program and supervised the program for ten years, 1980 – 1989. He worked doing all aspects of the program and was recognized by the American Legion for his leadership.

Dale took classes and taught at Crowder College, teaching the Construction Apprentice Program. He wrote beautiful poetry and was a published writer as well as a photographer. He especially enjoyed doing landscapes and made specialty photos using sand and glass. Following his retirement, he pursued his greatest joy – traveling extensively to support his grandchildren's interests and making lifelong memories. Dale was a member of the Wanda Methodist Church.

On March 10, 1963, Dale and Donna (Long) were united in marriage, and Donna survives.
