Denise Coates

Her name was Denise Lafern Coates

Denise was born December 31st 1966 in Morris Illinois, and passed away October 10th 2022 here in Joplin, Missouri. Denise was 55 years young.

She lived her life the best she knew how. She worked most her life taking care of other people and other people's children. She was passionate about music, her kids, her mother, and was all about having fun. You knew if you were around Denise that she was the life of the party. She was funny and spontaneous, and if you ever needed to talk she would listen. On occasion though, she would do most of the talking. 

Towards the end of her life she was able to find peace, joy, and God. She gave herself to the Lord before she battled cancer and she won.. she beat it. Unfortunately, we know that the Lord has a plan for everyone, and it was her name he called. 

Denise was survived by her daughters Brittany Jacks, Brooke Luker, and her son Brandon Ropp. She also had three grandchildren, and Her Mother Ollie Mae. If you knew Denise, she would want us all to mourn, but to also celebrate her life. She will be missed and forever will be in our hearts.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 14th at Mason-Woodard Chapel at 2pm.

Services have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
