(From Clark Funeral Home)Donald ‘Don’ R. Frencken was born November 5, 1938, in Stella, Missouri, one of four children to Lawrence and Francis (VanSlyke) Frencken. He entered into rest in Neosho, Missouri, on October 13, 2022, at the age of 83. He was raised on the family farm in Stark City, Missouri, where he enjoyed spending time with his grandparents on Sundays and riding horses with family and friends.
He graduated from Midway High School in 1956 and, in 1957, began a career with R.J. Hurley Lumber Company, and in 1966, T.H. Rogers purchased the R.J. Hurley Lumber Company. Don continued with T.H. Rogers working for the company until his retirement in 2003.
Don enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, hunting and fishing, team roping, and riding motorcycles. He was a member of the Ritchey Baptist Church.
On March 13, 2004, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Don, and Kimberly (Lowe) were united in marriage, Kim survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Lisa (Craig) Sherertz of Springfield, Missouri, and Greg Frencken of Windsor, Missouri; grandchildren, Hannah Sheretz and fiance`, Ryan, Seth Sheretz, Andrew (Lindsey) Frencken, Hailee (Dylan) Wickham and Emerson Frencken; two great-grandsons, Barrett Frencken and Tate Frencken and a great-grandson due to arrive in March 2023; two brothers, Herbert Frencken and Lawrence Frencken, both of Stark City, Missouri and a sister, Cathy Talley of Houston, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial visitation will be held Monday evening, October 17, 2022, from 5:30 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
