(From Knell Mortuary)Donald Joe Miller, 77, Carthage, Missouri, passed away early Friday morning, October 7, 2022, at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, Missouri.
Donald was born November 17, 1944, in Carthage, Missouri, the son of the late Donald Cass Miller and Anna Pauline (Howard) Miller. He was a 1962 graduate of Golden City High School, Golden City, Missouri. He then went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in education from Pittsburg State University.
Donald married the love of his life, Judy Cook, on December 20, 1964, at Grace Presbyterian Church. He taught school in Golden City for eight years, was a farmer for 25 years, and worked for MoArk Poultry for 18 years. He was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Donald was a very hard worker and loved his family.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Judy Miller; his sons, J.D. Clay Miller, and Jodie Cass Miller (Brandy); grandchildren, Kalaya Miller, Tucker Miller, Sausha Miller, Zebediah Miller, and Noah Miller (Anna); eight great-grandchildren, Esybella Miller, Omri Miller, Coraline Miller, Maela Miller, Juniper Miller, Easton Miller, Paisley Miller, and Waelon Miller; a sister, Barbara Phipps; a niece, Belinda Shoff; nephews, Brock Phipps, and Bert Phipps; and many extended family and friends.
