Pat Ramsey

Mrs. Pat Ramsey, 65, of Southwest City, Missouri departed this life Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Freeman Hospital in Neosho, Missouri.

Pat entered this life July 11, 1951, to the late Olen and Mary Sharp in Kansas City, Kansas. She grew up in the Jay, Oklahoma, area where she attended school and graduated in 1969. She then attended NEO in Miami and finish up her degree in teaching at North Eastern in Tahlequah. On September 29, 1972, she was united in marriage to Ken Ramsey and to this union one daughter was born. She taught for 30 years as a special education teacher finishing her career in Gravette after 16 years of service. She was a member of the Southwest City Full Gospel church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed helping her daughter with the Southwest City Old Timers Day and Christmas parades. She also enjoyed camping, shopping, helping her husband on the farm and going to see her granddaughter play baseball and showing her calf at the fair.

Pat is survived by her husband Ken of the home; a daughter, Misty Reece and husband, Steve, of Southwest City; a granddaughter, Macy Reece; two sisters, Mary Noll of Helendale, California and Dealie Sharp of Vinita, Oklahoma; a brother in-law, Jim Ramsey and wife, Connie, of Owasso, Oklahoma; and a sister in-law, Diane Robbins of Chickasha, Oklahoma; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Pat Marie Lowry Ramsey will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Full Gospel Church in Southwest City, Missouri with Pastor Richard Hart officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Eddie Stout, Shane Reece, Frank Woods, Darrell Spillers, Darrell Robertson and Larry Shields. Craig Martin and Shane Clark will serves as honorary Pallbearers. Burial will follow in the Southwest City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Church from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Howard Meek Scholarship fund in care of the funeral home.
