Ada Clymer

Ada Fern Clymer, 80, Stella, passed away March 2, 2016 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin. 

She was born October 30, 1935 in Stella, Missouri, the daughter of H.E. (Doc) and Minnie (Woolard) Clanton. Ada was a lifelong resident of the Stella area. She began her career as a science/biology teacher in Granby and then taught at East Newton High School, retiring in 1989. Ada enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, needlecraft, photography and the last few years, keeping in touch with friends on Facebook. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Stella Baptist Church, Missouri State Teachers Association and was president of the Historical Society in Stella. 

Ada married Estell Clymer on May 2, 1953 in Stella, and he survives. Also surviving are three children, Dean Clymer and wife, Kathleen of Rich Hill, MO, Rick Clymer and wife, Bobbie of Stella, MO and Jane Gardner and husband Rick of Grassy Creek, NC; one brother, Jim Clanton and wife, Karen of Stark City, MO; one sister, Betty Culp of Bossier City, LA; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Ada is preceded in death by her parents.
