Lois Rae Masoner, age 88 of Joplin, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at Freeman Hospital following a sudden illness.
Lois was born February 26, 1928 in Girard, Kansas to the late Fred C. Forste and Edith Graham Forste. She was part owner of B&L Home Remodeling for 15 years and then worked as a Cook Supervisor for the Joplin R-8 School District before retiring.
On April 21, 1946, Lois married William H. Masoner in Warrensburg, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2010.
Surviving Lois are daughters, Sue Peterson and husband, Jim of Springfield, Missouri and Janene Robinson and husband, King of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; eight grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline Savery, and Leta Kernel.
Lois is preceded in death by a son, Darrell Masoner and eight other siblings.
A memorial service will be held in Lois' honor at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
