Nancy J. Frising, age 72, Joplin, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Mercy Hospital after an illness.
Nancy was born November 26, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Frank Schaefer and Nancy Myrtle Bell Schaefer and had lived in Joplin most of her life.
She owned and operated Sparkle Graphics for seventeen years. Following her retirement, she worked as a crossing guard at Cecil Floyd Elementary School for the past several years.
Nancy married Nicolas A. Frising, Sr. on February 9, 1959 in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2005.
Nancy was also preceded in death by a son, Nicolas A. Frising, Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, April Mead and her husband, James, Joplin; grandchildren, Nick Frising III, Billy Frising, Whitney Frising, Cole Mead, Raymond Mead, Zakk Huddleston, Amy Urich, Aaron Blaine; great grandchildren, Serenity Mitchell, Hunter Pomerantz, Billy Frising II, Jimmie Frising, Elizabeth Coward and Stephen Coward, Destiny Dodson and Ryder Mead.
Memorial graveside services are planned for Monday at 3:00 p.m. in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. J. Friedel will officiate.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
