Andree LaDue, age 86, Joplin, passed away at 8:03 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Communities of Wildwood Ranch after an illness.
Andree was born May 25, 1929 in Nancy, France to the late Lucien Louis Billette and Marguerite Devillet and had lived in the Joplin Area since 1968.
A homemaker, she had worked for the Joplin Area Catholic Schools for about ten years in the cafeteria, serving homemade lunches to students in both St. Peter’s Grade School and McAuley High School. She developed a faithful following. Andree was a member of the French Resistance during World War II, a member of the Ladies of the Elks and the Sacred Heart Women's Group. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Webb City.
She married Daniel George LaDue, Sr. on May 6, 1955 in Etain, France. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2006.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel G. LaDue, Jr. and his wife, Carlene, Joplin, Charles F. LaDue, Joplin , one daughter, Mary Stoeckl and her husband, John, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jason LaDue, Chuck LaDue, Jr., Danielle La Due, Sean LaDue, Mathew LaDue, Colby Newman and his wife, Meleony, Jennifer McCowan, Sophia Stoeckl, Johann Stoeckl; great grandchildren, Charlie LaDue, Emma LaDue, Calder LaDue, Jordin McDonald, Madelynn Shafer, Lucy Shafer, Robert Shafer, Andrew Newman, Mathew Logan LaDue; and a cousin, Danielle Jordain, Nancy, France.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Christine LaDue.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Rahab Isidor, celebrant, will preside. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles LaDue, Jr., Tony LaDue, Jason Todd LaDue, Sean LaDue, Colby Newman and J.J. Stoeckl. The Rosary will be recited Monday at 6:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary with a visitation to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Newton County Firefighter Christmas for Kids, The Joplin Elks Club Christmas Food Basket Program or the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Christmas Food Basket care of Parker Mortuary.
