Ron Barlett, age 70, of Oronogo, Missouri won his battle Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at his home with his two daughters and his wife by his side.
He was born January 14, 1946 in Webb City, Missouri to George and Georgia (Gilliam) Barlett.
Ron was a drywall finisher and worked up to five months ago. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed going with his wife. He also enjoyed working in his garden.
He married Betty Gorman on July 13, 1991 and she survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Ronda Baker and husband, Shannon, of Webb City, Missouri, and Jazzmine Stockam and husband, Seth, of Bixby, Oklahoma; five brothers, Rocky Barlett of Webb City, Missouri, Tony Barlett of Oronogo, Missouri, Steve Barlett of Webb City, Missouri, Wayne Barlett of Oronogo, Missouri and Gary Barlett of Oronogo, Missouri; three sisters, Sherry Barlett of Wichita, Kansas, Beth Maynard of Oronogo, Missouri and Patricia Thurlo of Webb City, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Zachary, Morgan, Emma, Jocee, Jaxon, Cason and Nolan, and one great-grandson, Asher.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Don Barlett, Jim Barlett, Mickey Barlett and Ed Barlett; and two sisters, Janice Reed and Debbie Barlett.
A celebration of life will be at 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Oronogo, Missouri, 10040 County Road 230.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home.
