Annetta Ruth Black, 64, Gladstone, Missouri, passed away peacefully March 18, 2016, surrounded by her family.
She was born October 9, 1951 in Seneca, Missouri, to Bill and Lucile Steele, who preceded her in death. She earned her nursing degree from Crowder College in 1970 and later went to Penn Valley Community College to earn a Surgical Technician certification in 2000. She married Don Black in Seneca, Missouri, in 1971. He also preceded her in death in October 2013.
Annetta was a homemaker, she home-schooled her children, and cared for her grandchildren when they were young. She had a strong Christian faith which she shared with others. She attended church at Vivion Road Church of Christ.
Survivors include: four children – Trevor, and wife, Becky, of Plattsburg, Mo.; James, of Gladstone, Mo.; Meshanne, of Platte City, Mo.; and Nick, and girlfriend Tasha, of Overland Park, Kans.; four grandchildren – Clint, Kate, Alex and Beau; siblings – Dennis, and wife, Janie, of Mexico, Mo.; Lonnie, and wife Janie, of Seneca, Mo.; Sara, and husband, Jack, of Seneca, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; longtime friend Kathy Wilson, of Goodman, Mo.; and her beloved church families.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 6 p.m.; Funeral services will be March 23, 2016, at 10 a.m.; both at D.W. Newcomer's White Chapel in Gladstone, Mo.
