Joyce Day Eisen, age 87 of Carthage, passed away March 7, 2016 at Freeman Hospital, Joplin, following an extended illness.
Joyce was born June 17, 1928 in Joplin to the late Fred Quackenbush and Ida Middleton Quackenbush. She previously worked for Miller Machinery in the accounting department before working as a florist in Carthage up to retirement. Along with her husband, she was a member of the United Hebrew Congregation of Joplin.
On March 15, 1965, Joyce married Jack Eisen in Joplin. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2005. Also a sister, Bonnie Foshay precedes Joyce in passing.
Surviving Joyce are two nephews, Robert Foshay, Jr. and wife, Becky of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Richard Foshay of Belize; brother in-laws, Robert Foshay, Sr. of Broken Arrow and Luke Eisen of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; great nieces, J. Kristen Guard of Toronto, Canada and Stephanie Foshay of Broken Arrow.
A graveside service is planned for Monday, March 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 - 4:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
