Mrs. Helen Lenora Stotts, 91, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, departed this life on March 19, 2016 at the Sarcoxie Nursing Center.
Helen entered this life on July 20, 1924 at Sarcoxie, Missouri to the union of the late Claude and Hazel (Cramer) Aleshire. She graduated from Sarcoxie High School and was a member of Sarcoxie Presbyterian Church. She was united in marriage to Jack Stotts on April 20, 1947 at Columbus, Kansas. Together they shared almost fifty years, before his passing on February, 12, 1997. Helen was a wonderful mother, homemaker and loved taking care of her grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by her son, James Michael Stotts on December 23, 2010.
Helen is survived by her son, Pat Stotts of Carthage, Missouri and a daughter, Dr. Jackie Joyo and husband Colin of Newport Beach, California; seven grandchildren; three step grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Herb Aleshire of Sarcoxie, MO and Dale Aleshire, State of Florida; three sisters, Betty Phillips of East Wenatchee, Washington, Beverly Houtchens of Malo, Washington, and June Sharon, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services for Mrs. Stotts are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Sarcoxie Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Rose officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Sarcoxie Nursing Center Activity Fund, or a favorite charity and may be left at the funeral home.
