Marilyn Annetta Waisner, 72, of Carthage, passed away March 19, 2016 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO.
Marilyn was born December 2, 1943 in Portland, Oregon to Clinton and Mary (Dunn) Robbins. She grew up and graduated from Santa Maria California High School class of 1961. Marilyn moved to Missouri in 1970 and was a longtime Carthage resident. She worked and retired after 34 and ½ years from Fred’s Frozen Foods, (Windsor foods) of Carthage. Marilyn loved nature, fishing and camping, and sewing. Most of all she loved her family.
Marilyn was united in marriage to Ricky Waisner July 16, 1982 in Carthage, MO, he survives. Marilyn is survived by four children, Annette Willis and husband Larry of Carthage, James McNear and wife Gayle of Carthage, Teresa Barker and husband Steve of Sparta, MO and Crystal Ritter and husband Travis of Carthage, seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, two sisters, Carolyn Moore and husband Doc of California and Connie Fitzgerald and husband Lin of Colorado, two brothers Mardy Robbins and wife Janet of California and Clinton Robbins and wife Sharon of Arizona. A special family “Mom” Sunny Way of Blue Springs, MO, and a friend “Sister” Wanda Howerton of Carthage. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents and a beloved dog named Bo who passed in December. Marilyn had a spunky zest for life and lived life to the fullest.
