Michael T. Bell, 64, Carthage, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at his home after a sudden illness. Michael Thomas Bell was born January 10, 1952 in Sikeston, MO; a son of Bryce Wilson Bell and Barbara Junan Abbott Bell. He was a graduate of Carthage Senior High School, Class of 1970, and received his BA degree from Missouri Southern College, Joplin, MO. Michael worked for Fred’s Frozen Foods, Carthage and Butterball, Inc. since 2006 where he was a machine operator.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Bell Day, Carthage; a daughter, Hayley Strickling, Joplin, MO; two sons, Robert Bell, Quapaw, OK and Rick Bell, Joplin, MO; a brother, Dale (Jetti) Bell, Avilla, MO; six grandchildren, Zach Kennedy, Jace Strickling, Kari Payton, Valisha Bailey, Eric Bell, Justin Bell and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Bryce Bell and a sister, Deena Walker.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Knell Mortuary, Carthage. The body has been sent for cremation. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary, Carthage, MO.
