Roland Brown

Roland Lloyd Brown, age 95, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, surrounded by his family. He was born September 24, 1927, to the late Lloyd and Genevieve (Ebersole) Brown. 

Roland worked as a machinist for Rocketdyne and Teledyne in Neosho, Missouri, retiring in 1990. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and became a member of the VFW 4142 in Neosho and a member of the American Legion Post 163. 

Roland loved hunting, fishing, farming, and spending as much time as he could with those he loved. He married Katherine Brown, and she preceded him in death on March 23, 2001.

Roland will be loving remembered by those who survive him: his brother; Paul (Carol) Brown of Bolivar, Missouri, three children; Freddie J. Brown of Pineville, Missouri, Roger (Carol) Brown of Neosho, Missouri; Carl (Lori) Brown of Crane, Missouri; seven grandchildren; Tina DePriest, Jody Leach, Jason Brown, Bobby Brown, Justin Brown, Rhanda Andrews, Lindsey Fanecco, fourteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. 

In addition to his wife and parents, his daughter Tillie Jean Jamison, Grandson R. Scott Brown, and six siblings preceded him in death.

October 8, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions in honor of Roland Brown be made to the American Legion Post 163 c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, Missouri, 64850.
