Mrs. Geraldine Griner, 64, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, December 24, 2016, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri, after a recent decline in health.
Geraldine entered this life on October 3, 1952, in Truman, Arkansas, born to the late Talfey and Rettie (Pierce) Teague. She attended school in Anderson, Missouri and was a lifelong area resident. On December 20, 1968, she was united in marriage to Freddie Griner and together they have shared the last forty-eight years. Geraldine was a devoted homemaker through her life and followed the Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bill and Kenneth Teague; and two sisters, Elsie Robertson and Goldie Reeves.
Geraldine is survived by her husband, Freddie Griner of the home; three sons, Ricky Griner and wife, Leann, of Anderson, Timothy Griner and wife, Betty, of Anderson and Rodney Griner and wife, Amy, of Goodman; a daughter, Cynthia Boydston and husband, Jamie, of Neosho; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Alfred Teague of Anderson; three sisters, Joyce Davidson, Evelyn Adcock and Letha Lail all of Anderson; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Griner are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Marilyn O’Brien officiating.
