Kim Allen Olesen, age 64, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at his home after a sudden illness.
Kim was born April 30, 1952 in Westbrook, Minnesota, son of the late Kenneth Olesen and Gladys Bailey Olesen. He graduated from Webb City High School in 1970, and worked all his adult life as a route truck driver. He made deliveries to various dairy, food and grocery stores, convenience stores, and ended up driving for Wonder Bread for over 30 years before retiring.
He is survived by his son, Chris Olesen of Royse City, Texas; grandchildren, Cooper, Kaylee, Dani, and Julia Olesen; two brothers, Robert Olesen and wife Shirley of Webb City, and Marvin Olesen and wife Nancy of Joplin; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
