Roy Ernest “Bill” Myers, 89, of Goodman, Missouri departed this world on Wednesday October 4, 2023 at Seneca Home Place in Seneca, Missouri.

He was born August 3, 1934 in Anderson, Missouri, to the late Robert and Effie Mae (Porter) Myers. He married the love of his life, Barbara Johnson on June 1, 1956. In 1968, he became a member of Trinity Pentecostal Church in Goodman, Missouri. Bill was an autobody man for Barnes and Henry St. John in Carthage, Missouri. He also worked for Crumbliss Wood Products in Neosho, Missouri and American Family Homes in Anderson, Missouri.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Effie Mae (Porter) Myers; his loving wife of 66 Years, Barbara Myers; four brothers, Lawrence Myers, Bobby Myers, Walter Myers and Johnny Myers; two sisters, Laraine Anderson and Leona Neubert.

Bill is survived by his three children, Tammy Highley and husband, Kevin of Halfway, Missouri, Rick Myers and wife, Bette of Enterprise, Alabama, Teresa Walls and husband, Scott of Seneca, Missouri; three grandchildren, Angie Shehan and husband, Pat, Blake Walls and Emma Walls; three great grandchildren, Ashton Shehan, Kayden Walls and Zoey Walls. Those honoring Bill’s life by serving as pallbearers are, Kevin Highley, Scott Walls, Pat Shehan, Ashton Shehan, Larry Rustin. Oddie Gideon and Tommy Abercrombie will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Union Cemetery in Stella, Missouri. Gary Murphy of Trinity Pentecostal will officiate.
