Lane Clayton Dunbar of Commerce, OK passed from this life Monday, October 2, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO. He was 17.

Lane was born July 20, 2006 in Miami, OK to Roy Thomas Dunbar and Cheryl Williams. He had lived in Commerce, OK all his life and was a junior at Commerce High School in Commerce, OK. He was a member of Commerce Community Church (C3) in Commerce, OK.

Lane was preceded in death by 1 brother Trenton Dunbar, his parental grandparents, parental great grandparents and material great grandmother Julia Hopkins.

Survivors include his, his mother Cheryl Williams of the home, his father Roy Thomas Dunbar of Harrisonville, MO, 5 brothers, Ryan Dunbar of Miami, OK, Johnathan Erwin of Corona, KS, Caleb Erwin of Commerce, OK, Kutter Erwin of Commerce, OK and Jackson Dunbar of Baxter Springs, KS, 4 sisters, Kasie Dunbar of Miami, OK, Katelynn Erwin of Parsons, KS, Kloie Erwin of Corona, KS and Kaydence Dunbar of Baxter Springs, KS, maternal grandmother Dara Williams of Commerce, OK, maternal great grandfather Mike Hopkins of North Miami, OK and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Commerce High School Gymnasium in Commerce, OK. Jason Shelton will officiate. 

The family will be at the Sandy Captain Community Building in Seneca beginning at noon on Wednesday , October 4 thru Thursday, October 5 at 5:00 p.m. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
