Margie Pearl Fry, age 88 of Joplin, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at her home.
Margie was born October 29, 1927 to the late John R. Martin and Elma L. Barton Martin in Quapaw, Oklahoma. She graduated from Baxter Springs High School and later went to work for the Internal Revenue Service. Margie then was a full time homemaker who actively supported and cared for her family whom she loved very much.
Surviving Margie are sons, Jim Hayward and partner, Sue Sims of Raymore, Missouri, Cary Hayward and wife, Patti of Joplin; granddaughter, Carrie Hayward of Carterville; grandson, Clint Hayward of Joplin; great-grandchild, Madison Hayward; brother, Russell Martin and wife, Kate of Hanover, Maryland.
Other than her parents, Margie is preceded in death by a son, Robbie Fry and two brothers, Max and Jim Martin.
Services are planned for Saturday, March 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary with family receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time. Burial to follow at Lowell Cemetery, Lowell, Kansas.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
