Pamela J. Bird age 58, of Chetopa, KS., passed away March 2, 2016 at her home. She was born on May 28, 1957 in Reno, NV., the daughter of Charles and Evelyn “Spoon” Gilmore. Pam was a housewife. She enjoyed collecting dolls and angels. She was a member of the Jesus Name House of Prayer Pentecostal Church in Chetopa, KS.
She married Virgil Bird on March 9, 1985 and he survives. Additional survivors include four sons, Kobi Lawson and wife Billie of Chetopa, KS., Virgil Bird and wife Karen of Joplin, MO., Justin Bird and Theresa DeBoutez of Joplin,MO., and Marty Bird of Springfield, IL., four daughters, Autumn Evans of Chetopa, KS., Chasity Gilmore of Joplin, MO., Carolyn Cupp and husband Jeff of Sarcoxie, MO., Robin Bird and Buck Collins of Joplin, MO. 27 Grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. One brother, Stephen Gilmore and wife JoAnn of Chetopa, KS. She was proceeded in death by her parents and a son Christopher Bird, two brothers Robin and John Gilmore and two sisters, Cassandra Wallace and Wendy Hinderlighter.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday March 8, 2016 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory with Pastor James Wethey officiating. Burial will follow in the Carterville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at the Mortuary. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
