Ben Johnson

Mr. Ben A. Johnson, 73, of Southwest City, Missouri departed this life on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, MO.

Ben was born May 5, 1947 in Colcord, OK to the late Benjamin and Beula (Kirby) Johnson. He grew up in Colcord then moved to Southwest City, MO and worked as a truck driver for Kraft and Hudson Foods. 

 Ben enjoyed driving his big semi and also enjoyed trading for a new truck every chance he got. Ben was known for his sarcasm and was always ready with a joke. He was looking forward to fixing up his 1987 red Ford pick up to make into a wrecker truck.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter; Shonna Johnson.

Ben is survived by a son Benji Johnson of Yellowstone, Montana, three daughters; Beverly Johnson of Southwest City, Brenda Johnson of St. George, Utah and Jayne Johnson Schrum also of Southwest City, MO, five grandchildren; Dana, Reba, Cheyenne, Kristina and Calli and six great grandchildren as well as a host of other family and friends.
