(From Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary)William Lane Stephens, Sr., age 62, of Joplin, passed away January 24, 2021.
William was born January 26, 1958 in Webb City to Charles and Elsie Stephens of Oronogo, Missouri. He is survived by five children; 23 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Charles; and three grandchildren, Fred, Gabe, and Carmon.
William was good at drawing and still-life painting. He also had a degree in welding and arts. William worked as a truck driver for many years and also worked in cabinet woodworking.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life on January 28th from 2-6:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Webb City. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary.
