(From Knell Mortuary)Hershel D. Williams, 84, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Monday evening, January 25, 2021 at Joplin Health and Rehab, Joplin, Missouri. Hershel was born September 23, 1936 in Berryville, Arkansas, the son of R.D. Williams and Ruby (Philbeck) Williams.
He married Nancy Yoes. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go fishing and camping at Stockton Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Williams; three sons, Jeromy Williams (Kari), Carthage, Jim Williams (Nancy), Carthage, and Todd Williams (Tamie), Neosho, Missouri; one sister, Faye Sjorland (Ray), Joplin, Missouri; several grand and great grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bobby Williams; a grandson, Christopher Williams; a great granddaughter, Italee Vail Williams; two brothers, Roland Williams and Donald Williams; and four sisters, Dorothy Dixon, Arnetha Driebellis, Wilma Jean Aubrey, and Hazel Hudson.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, January 29, 2020 at the Park Cemetery, Carthage, Missouri. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary.
